The Conversation

When AI Can Do the Work, What Happens to the Learning?

AI can help children complete homework, write essays, and solve problems. But how do we make sure they’re still developing the thinking behind the work?

Join Futurise Edu for a free, interactive parent session exploring what children need to develop in a world where AI can do more and more of the producing.

Discover practical ways to help your child think critically, make meaning, create with intention, and use tools responsibly, ensuring technology supports their thinking rather than replaces it.

This session is designed to be engaging, practical, and accessible. No technical knowledge or prior experience with AI is required.

Who Should Attend

This Session Is for You If…

Parents and caregivers of elementary and middle school students.

  • You’re wondering how AI is changing the way your child learns.
  • You want your child to become a capable, independent thinker.

About Futurise Edu

Futurise Edu helps schools, educators, and families rethink what learning should develop in a world where technology can increasingly do the producing.

Founded by educators Julia Ewart and Rachel Lugo, Futurise focuses on the human capacities students need to understand themselves and others, think critically, make meaning, create with intention, and learn and adapt.

Our guiding belief is simple:

Technology should support human thinking, not replace it.

Keep the Thinking Going

What does it look like when children have the opportunity to put these capacities into practice?

At Human Impact Lab, students tackle meaningful challenges, collaborate with others, explore possibilities, test ideas, and reflect on their learning.

For School Communities

Bring This Conversation to Your School

The questions we’re exploring aren’t just for families. They’re questions every school community should be asking.

What do we want students to develop? How do our teaching practices and assessments support that development? And how should AI fit into the learning experience?

Futurise Edu partners with school leaders and educators to develop a shared philosophy of learning that guides decisions about teaching, assessment, and intentional AI use.

If you’d like to bring this conversation to your school community, we’d love to connect.
